Overpriced.
If I could get zero stars, I would.
They are not practical vets. They look for the most expensive thing for treatment. Dr.Gengler, will boast about how accredited she is but she won't come up with any long or short term ideas or plans to help your animals.
Dr. Gengler will insist on ordering special blood work, ultrasounds or x-rays repeatedly to your pets.(Sound familiar?) She won't get to the root of your animals problem first.
Instead of letting you get any homeopathic treatments or meds outside her clinic, she will demand that you use HER pet line to charge you more money for stupid things like Vitamin B12, or even Purina pet food. I spent $851 dollars on special GI track blood work for my 18 yr old cat, which I had to google and when I brought it up to her vet tech Nichole that I wanted this specific blood work done by recommendations from the internet, her vet tech Nichole looked at me shocked and said, oh you did your homework.
I thought that was super odd for her to say that, because of course, them being "accredited vets" didnt offer her that service originally.
Her vet tech (Dr.Simpson) (who is no longer at the practice, wonder why?) Had all my cats blood work drawn and said I should give her a vitamin B12 supplement, because it was low..
She made me go through Dr.Genglers special pet line & it and it costed me $98. The vitamin B12 only lasted 2 months before expiring, so then I went online and ordered it through CHEWY for only $34.
I proceeded to take my cat there again, 6 months later, only to be insisted to do more blood work yet again for the 2nd round of bloodwork. Then Dr. Gengler told me when she looked through her previous blood work she said her vitamin B12 wasnt low. I told her, okay, then why did your previous vet tech lie to me and tell me it was low 6 months ago?
She said she didn't know, as that specific vet tech was no longer at her practice. What vet tech would lie about an animals vitamins levels being low?
After I decided not to get my 18 year old cat a $1200 dollar biopsy their office and Dr.Gengler recommended,
My friend who works for a seattle vet outreach told me NOT TO DO IT, she said my cat was too old to endure the trauma and pain for and the biopsy was not worth it for what my cat needed.
After declining to Dr. Gengler to not get my cat the biopsy she kept repeatedly recommending to me, 3 of vet techs including Nichole started cold calling me and leaving messages about when the next biopsy appointment would be available and then cat became constipated so
I proceeded to call her primary vet Dr. Gengler to get her an appointment to get help and get her seen about her being constipated.
When I called, the vet Tech said her office couldn't see my cat for two days, and she would talk to Dr. Ganghler.
After talking to Dr. Gengler, she called me back and told me NOBODY could see my cat AT ALL for any appointments for the whole week, I mean not one single slide in appointment for her constipation for the whole week! (I called on a Monday morning at 9:30am)
My cat couldn't wait a whole week being constipated to get help!
Like seriously?!
It was like Dr. Gengler was punishing my cat and not wanting to fit her in for an appt for not agreeing to get her the biopsy she kept reccomending, Sickening!!!
What kind of animal vet does that??
I immediately found another vet!
The Loyal Companion Vet on novelty hill, is amazing! I would recommend them to anyone!
Dr. Gengler doesn't care about your animals.
She cares about YOUR money.
Her practice had a huge remodel and it wasn't for helping sick animals, It was for overcharging people for ridiculous services that they're animals didn't or dont need.
They shouldn't be allowed to be called an animal hospital, they aren't even open on any holidays or weekends.
I wouldn't recommend this vet practice to anyone who truly has an animal that needs help.
Great experience. Myself and my circus were greeted with love and kindness from the moment we walked in the door. My pets needs were top priority amongst the staff. I did not feel rushed or just a number on a list. Time was spent with each animal. Their comfort was a priority. If one pet needed a little extra time it was given to ensure that they were as comfortable as possible. This visit was the best vet visit I have ever had. I will always highly recommend DVH to anyone needing vet care.
Everyone here has spent considerable time answering questions and helping ease concerns when my sweet pup has been unwell. They are so kind, caring and patient. I appreciate all of you and the care you provide my baby dog!
