Itβs been at least 10 years since I last used this veterinary clinic, and I now remember why I have not returned.
I appreciate that they were able to get our cat in for an exam within two days for a non-emergency visit as a new patient. They have drop-off exams, which could be handy if time is tight for you, but for me, I prefer to be present during the exam so that I can ask questions to best discuss my petβs care. When I picked our cat up, I asked for an exam summary, and was told this was not standard and they would have to ask the doctor to email me (as of posting this review, I have not received a summary).
I found the lobby to be clean, the receptionists to be kind and helpful, and the doctor easy to talk to and understand when he called. He only discussed the issue we took the cat in for and did not mention anything else that he may or may not have looked at during the exam (such as checking eyes, mouth, and ears).
I feel they ask for an excessive amount of personal information in setting up an account. For example, they donβt need my social security number, spouse information, or employment information. Also, I felt making a copy of my driver's license and asking for my birthday was a bit much and not necessary.
Since they have drop-off only exams, they ask for a pre-authorization amount for care in addition to the exam. I can understand that if you are busy and may not be readily available during the day, or in the event of an emergency it would be helpful, but I want to discuss the options before authorizing any procedures or medications before they are performed. I asked to be called first and gave a pre-authorization amount of $0, which they scoffed at and told me they may not be able to do. As my cat was not in for an emergency and I was available, there was no issue with calling, and no additional care was needed.
The exam was $82 for the cat plus $17 for the hospital ward use for a total of $99 (the $17 was not optional as they did not offer a non-drop-off exam option).
I cannot speak to the quality and thoroughness of the exam until/unless I receive an exam summary to know what they did, but the doctor did seem kind and knowledgeable when he called to let me know what he found for the particular purpose of the exam.
They will remain an option for non-emergency care when I need an appointment sooner than my regular vet has available, but they will not be my first choice for primary care. In the future, I would tell them upfront that I want an exam summary for my records so that they can have that prepared when I pick my pet up.
Great service, we were walk-ins, they let us know in advance that they could not assure us what the wait time would be. We were seen at the hour mark and out the door 30 mins later. My pet received great care.
