We took our dogs and cat to these guys for almost six years. We knew they were expensive, but some part of you as a Pet-only-Parent feels good to spend the extra money on your fur babies health. I was happy with them till I wasn’t. Regular healthy pet care will be pain free. It wasn’t until it took them 8.5 months to diagnose my senior dog with a UTI that I soured on them. We spent so much money on repeat visits trying to figure out why our dog suddenly couldn’t stop urinating in the house. Turns out it took one singular Dr to suggest that his past year of urine samples were consistently dilute and recommended a urine draw and culture directly from his bladder. After 8.5 months and almost 4k within a year of vet visits, we finally discovered he had a raging infection that required 3 weeks of antibiotics. That would maybe be okay, but when confronted during a meeting with the Regional Medical Director and the Practice Manager and them running our dogs case up the flagpole, they responded two weeks later with the statement that they gave “excellent medical care”. Our dog was sick for almost a year and when asked to reconsider their practice, they responded with apathy and arrogance. We have since moved our pets care to Horse Heaven Hills, where a simple blood pressure reading costs $24 dollars less and their patient rooms are designed like living rooms with fire places and leather couches. I believe the Vets at VCA are invested in their patients. But this is a conglomerate and it’s all about money. I was severely let down by them. If you have a puppy or kitten and you make decent money in this economy, these are the people for you. But if your pet is aging and running into health issues, go somewhere else. As a franchise, they really let us down.

Called this place to get one thing doen and the less than professional receptionist seemingly can't pull her head out and deal with peopel as people. Wouldn't drag a dead dog in here . A lack of any empathy from that receptionist is what set me off. Either learn to answer the phone in something of a professional manner and leave your"feelings" out of it or find a new career path.

We love VCA! We have 3 needy dogs so usually we are there at least once a month. All the doctors and staff are wonderful- so kind and thorough and everyone is always so sweet to our dogs. Best vet we have ever had!
