Royle Veterinary Clinic

⭐️ I’m very disappointed with my experience at this clinic. I brought my kitten in expecting the visit to be for her booster vaccinations. She receive her boosters, but she also received an exam despite having had an exam just one month earlier. I called the clinic to express my concern. I was told that this is simply their practice with kittens and that they are not a vaccine clinic. I understand that every clinic has its own policies, but I was under the impression that we were returning for the booster vaccines, and I did not feel that another exam so soon was necessary. When I explained that I found this unsatisfactory, I was told that because I didn’t understand how they do business, they would discontinue me as a client. Clients should be able to ask questions and express concerns about unexpected charges without being dismissed or dropped as clients. The way this situation was handled was surprising and very disappointing. Beware—if you’re going to express concerns about unexpected charges, be prepared to find a new vet.

Very friendly and quality care. Addressed all issues and was so nice to my baby.

Really like the one vet, the other vet made me very uncomfortable and I felt as though she was less knowledgeable than the tech that brought us into the room. She was incredibly timid and seemed almost uncomfortable with my very calm cat. It took 3 tries to find my cat's heart beat, she had the stethoscope in the wrong place. I had really great experiences the first couple times I visited here when we saw the other vet, just my most recent visit was odd, both with the older vet and the office staff. I am hoping it was just an off day there. EDIT- The problem vet has retired since my initial review.

This veterinary practice's admin staff are definitely practice / self centered -- as apparently they all are these days. Where are the customers in all of this? We pay their bills. We pay their salaries and yet they treat us like supplicants before the throne. Give me a break. I pay you for a service. My academic background is either similar or greater than yours and yet you call me by first name without the "doctor" honorific and then demand that I "reply with "C" to a text to confirm an appointment. What nonsense. You don't even reply to emails from my staff confirming your appointment with me! Who are you people? You are a supplier of veterinary SERVICES in an ocean of competitors. Learn your customer service basics. You are a business -- nothing more. Really, nothing more. You are a business competing with other businesses. Treat your customers with respect and dignity (and not imperiousness) and you win the golden ticket. Do otherwise and disappear into oblivion along with all the small business that failed to put their customers first. I guess I'm going shopping for a boutique private veterinary service that actually respects their clients -- even if I have to pay a premium for that level of service and respect. Wow, Royle, and Shattuck, you had me on care, but lost me in your support staff's utter rudeness on the phone and your systematic inability to communicate respectfully.

Great veterinarians.
